Privacy policy

This policy explains what Pixabead (“we”) does — and does not do — with personal data when you use this website. The data controller is Pixabead, Spain, reachable at hello@pixabead.com.

The short version

• You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name or email to use the tools.
• Your images never leave your device. Photos you convert, and patterns you draw, are processed in your browser and saved only in your browser's local storage if you choose to save them.
• Our web server keeps standard access logs for security and to keep the site running.
• If advertising is shown, the ad provider may set cookies subject to your consent. Affiliate links carry a tracking parameter so the shop knows the visit came from us.

What we process, and why

Server logs. When you load a page our hosting provider records the IP address, the URL requested, the date and time, the browser (“user agent”) and the referring page. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable site (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). Logs are kept for a short, fixed period and then deleted.

Local storage on your device. Your preferences (bead brand, board size), saved patterns and progress are stored in your browser (localStorage / IndexedDB). They stay on your device and are not sent to us. You can clear them at any time through your browser settings or the tools' own “clear” actions.

Images and patterns. Conversion, editing and PDF/PNG export run entirely in the browser. We do not receive, store or see your images.

Advertising. Where the site shows ads, the advertising provider (for example Google AdSense) may use cookies or similar identifiers to measure ads and, with your consent, personalise them. On first visit from a region that requires it, you are asked for consent before any such cookie is set; you can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)); non-personalised ads rely on our legitimate interest in funding the site.

Affiliate links. Some links to shops (for example Amazon) include an affiliate tag. The shop may set its own cookies when you follow the link; that processing is governed by the shop's privacy policy.

Contact. If you email us we process what you send to answer you (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)/(f)) and keep the exchange for as long as needed to handle it.

Sharing and transfers

We do not sell personal data. Data may be processed by our hosting and, where applicable, advertising providers, some of which may be outside the EU/EEA; where that is the case, transfers rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and equivalent laws you may ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, object to or restrict processing, ask for portability and withdraw consent at any time. Write to hello@pixabead.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because we hold no accounts and no images, most requests concern only server logs or advertising consent.

Children

The tools are suitable for all ages, but we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Ads on pages likely to be used by children are limited to non-personalised formats where our providers support it.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site evolves; the date at the top tells you when. Substantial changes are announced on the site.
